A 23-year-old Steven Mwape of Kawama Township was arrested for allegedly raping a 35-year-old woman whom he followed into a nightclub toilet in the early hours of Friday.

What started as a continuation of the long weekend, following two consecutive holidays, full of fun, dancing and binge drinking, slowly turned into a thriller.

The woman in her final year as a youth, decided to go and answer the call of nature around 02:00 hours after some drinks with her friend, unaware that someone was onto her.

Staggering her way to the toilet while innocently jiving to the groove of the music, the suspect allegedly followed through her trail.

Just moments after she entered the lavatory, Mwape reportedly forced his way in, locked the door, and demanded to use his instrument of power to dance into her human auditorium.

When the woman resisted, he reportedly beat her, undressed her, and fired his urinating gun at her, managing to penetrate the most guarded tunnel of pleasure to satisfy his depraved sexual urge.

While he did the deed, screams eventually caught the attention of a club bouncer who rushed to the scene.

With help from some members of the community, the suspect was apprehended and handed over to Chililabombwe Police.

A medical report form has since been issued to the survivor for treatment and examination.

Police assistant spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha has confirmed that the suspect was arrested on rape charges.

“The suspect is detained in Police custody awaiting court appearance,” Kaitisha stated.

Police have since launched a formal investigation into the case.
