ABSA manager, Sichizya dies after collapsing on duty

ABSA Bank’s brand and communications manager Ndela Sichizya has passed away, leaving a profound impact on the institution and its employees.

Sichizya died after collapsing at work just days ago.

ABSA Bank Zambia chief executive officer Mizinga Melu took to social media this morning to confirm Sichizya’s passing.

Melu shared a heartfelt tribute to their beloved colleague, acknowledging the profound sense of loss and shock that has gripped the organisation.

“We cried, we prayed, we believed you will get better but the Lord’s will has prevailed. This pain is so deep, Chafina Ndela,” Melu expressed.

“Go well Ndela. You were the true definition of the ultimate gentleman, humble, kind, and God-fearing. Rest peacefully in God’s arms.”

Described as an expert in Zambia’s corporate area, Sichizya has left an indelible mark on the world of marketing and brand management.

Not only was he known for his awe-inspiring public speaking skills, creative genius, and unwavering commitment to his craft, but he also served as a guiding light for countless professionals traversing the Zambian business landscape.

Throughout his illustrious career, Sichizya held pivotal roles in organisations such as Atlas Mara, Zamtel, and MultiChoice Zambia, where his strategic prowess and innovative campaigns led to industry-wide recognition and lasting influence.
