After months of musical silence, Mwila Musonda, alias Slapdee has finally stepped back into the booth, teaming up with fast rising star, Dizmo, whose real name is Ephriam Kasonde, for a bold new seven-track EP that promises to shake up the charts.

It’s a collaboration that fans didn’t see coming but one that instantly feels right, the seasoned king of zed hip-hop linking up with one of the game’s most fearless voices.

Once known for delivering back to back hits like True story and Black and White, Slapdee had showed his pace after releasing Mother Tongue in 2021.

For a while, the silence was loud. Supporters begged for new music, and even fellow rappers began teasing him about his hiatus.

Then, out of nowhere, the Don reappeared, not with a song but a promise.

In a video posted on his Facebook page, Slapdee simply told fans that he had heard them loud and clear and was heading to shake the studio.

The reaction was immediate and thousands of fans flooded his page, celebrating the long-awaited news.

Among the responses were playful jabs from fellow artistes. Bobby East joked that King Dizo should have used his time to record instead of posting, while Dizmo gave him a friendly ultimatum: ‘you’ve got two weeks to deliver.’

Slapdee however, fired back to his trademark swagger.

“I don’t follow orders, I issue them. But I’ll make an exception for you, young king. Just me and you, one producer, seven tracks,” he said.

With that, one of the most exciting collaborations in recent memory was born.

He then confirmed that the project was already in motion.

“We’ll probably include a few features just to give it flavor. But the heart of this project is Dizmo and I, two different energies coming together for something special,” he stated.

For fans, this partnership represents more than just music, it’s a bridge between eras.

Slapdee, the pioneer who built the foundation for Zambian hip-hop, joining hands with Dizmo, the unapologetic voice of today’s youth, marks a full circle moment for the culture.
