Chawama wife divorces hubby for being ‘good in bed’

A FRUSTRATED wife from Lusaka’s densely populated Chawama compound has divorced her husband of 10 years for being too good in bed but completely useless when it comes to paying rent.

Mirriam Moonga, 28, filed for divorce from her husband, Lumuno Tembo, 41, also from the same ‘MP-less’ squatter settlement compound that despite her husband being 13 years older than her, he behaved like a ‘Mario’ when it came to taking care of their home.

Moonga narrated to the court that she could no longer adhere to the ‘for better, for worse’ vow when she was being ‘Mulwandanised.’

She said in their 10 years of marriage, Tembo would skillfully and vehemently work his drilling machine on her slippery reproductive hole, leaving her on cloud nine and making her shout ‘pamene apo’ while he dodged the responsibility of providing food and clothes for their only child.

The aggrieved wife stated that her easterner husband would sometimes even disappear into thin air days before the rentals were due.

“He is just good in bed, but I believe a man who skillfully engages in bedroom games must also be responsible,” she complained.

“I cannot continue in a marriage where a man cannot even pay rent for a two-roomed house. I think it’s best we divorce, I have completely lost interest.”

According to Real Times, the couple seldomly stayed in a rented house for more than five months, as Tembo’s inability to pay rent always resulted in evictions.

In his defence, Tembo stated that it was not intentional that he failed to pay rent but he just had no money.

He complained that his wife was disrespectful to him because he was poor and that she had put him on a bedroom drought for years, while threatening to chase him out of their home.

He however stated that he didn’t want to divorce his wife for the sake of their child.

Looking at the fact that Tembo failed to be the man of the house, Magistrate Harriet Mbewe, granted the couple divorce and ordered that they share their property equally.
