A WOMAN of Lusaka’s Chazanga Compound has reportedly been utilising her high pitched voice to boast to her landlord’s wife of how she surpassed the skills of a recently popular Gen Z actress, to assist in massaging the hubby’s reproductive pillar.

It was heard that instead of playing with lollipops or popsicles, 35-year-old Catherine Fumbi of Chazanga compound opted to play with 29-year-old Royce Mbewe’s husband’s family jewels, making him reach cloud nine.
According to revelations in court, Fumbi once rented a shop at Mbewe’s husband’s house, but instead of just paying rent, she allegedly fancied the landlord.
This led to a relentless feud between the two women, with Fumbi reportedly taunting Mbewe regularly, hurling insults and showing no remorse as tensions escalated.
This is in a case brought before senior magistrate Lewis Mumba, where Mbewe dragged Fumbi to court, accusing her of openly bragging about having once tasted her husband’s ‘instrument of mass reproduction’, demanding compensation for repeated verbal abuse and public humiliation.
Mbewe testified that not only did Fumbi boast of having an affair with her husband instead, she also confessed that she had infected him with HIV, hence, both individuals are on treatment.
“Amakamba ati iyo katundu ugwila, ninaigwilapo kudala (She tells me that the manhood you always hold, I have held it before). She insults me from sunrise to sunset, calls me names like ‘dog’ in front of people, and tells me to stay away from my own husband and now I can’t even sell my cassava in peace,” she lamented.
Mbewe stated that she confronted her Yango delivery husband, who ended up showing her messages, proving it was Fumbi who was chasing him, not the other way around.
“Fumbi clearly told him she doesn’t love her police officer boyfriend and wants to be with my husband instead. I want her to explain why she keeps insulting me and calling me a prostitute”
In her defense, Fumbi denied all accusations, claiming she had no romantic involvement with Mbewe’s husband and didn’t even speak to the couple.
“I don’t know what she’s talking about and I don’t insult her, I don’t even talk to her. I’ve never slept with her husband and I don’t speak to him. Maybe she’s dragging me into this because she fought with my child and now wants to involve me,” she stated.
After hearing both sides, magistrate Mumba questioned whether such behaviour could help stop the spread of diseases, noting that the individuals involved seemed to be entangled in a cycle of shared partners.
“You both need to behave. It seems this all started when Mbewe’s partner chose her over you. There are plenty of men out there, people divorce in this very court every day, just come and pick your type. Some are even standing by the window,” he advised.
He then dismissed the case, ruling that the claim lacked merit.
“There’s no problem being two on one man, just legitimise it. Defamation and insults are serious matters, and you need strong evidence to support your case. Mbewe, you have a good case but you are missing one crucial element which is a witness to back you up,” added the magistrate.
