State unleashes Kamfinsa on murderous Kalumbila

THE communities of Kalumbila District in Northwestern Province, have come to a standstill with the formidable presence of ‘disciplinarians’ from Kamfinsa School of Public Order Maintainance (SPOM) who have arrived to restore order following the gruesome killing of Eneless Hellen Kamutumbe.

Since their arrival, Kamfinsa officers, have been patrolling the Kisasa area and surrounding communities arresting and establishing a visible and intimidating presence designed to deter any repeat of the chaos that claimed the life of the 46-year-old Chingola businesswoman.

The elite officers arrived in Kalumbila after a 25-year-old man, Prince Ntambo, falsely accused the businesswoman of magically stealing his manhood which sparked a mob attack that left her dead.

Witnesses have told Kalemba that the frightening presence of Graphel Musamba’s lads from Kamfinsa have inspired grown men with full beards to abandon the comfort of their sofas in sitting rooms, preferring to spend their time under the bushes, leaving safety of their matrimonial beds.

According to Police spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi, so far 17 suspects, including three women, have been privileged to be involuntary guests of law enforcers who will spend nights enjoying free entertainment of beautiful singing of mosquitoes in the cold cells of Kalumbila.

Chilabi said that the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.

“Members of the public are urged to remain calm and report any suspected criminal activity to the police, rather than taking the law into their own hands,” Chilabi said.

Chilabi said the case was initially reported by Mwalede Siamuchimba, who informed police that his cousin had been fatally assaulted by a mob after a 25-year-old man, Prince Ntambo, falsely claimed she had stolen his manhood.

The authority has further expressed concern over the circulation of graphic videos and photographs of the mob attack, warning that such content could traumatize the victim’s family and disturb communities.

“The Zambia Police Service strongly condemns acts of mob justice and destruction of property,” Chilabi said.

Meanwhile, authorities have vowed to bring everyone involved in this heinous crime to book without fail.

“We urge everyone to respect the dignity of the deceased and cooperate with authorities. Kamfinsa is here to ensure that peace prevails and we will not tolerate any challenges to law and order,” Chilabi added.

Following the gruesome incident report which has been condemned by many including President Hakainde Hichilema, police arrested Ntambo along with seven other mobsters.

Kamutumbe is survived by six children, including a two-year-old and a husband who is reportedly traumatized and has struggled to speak since receiving the news of her death.
