Police release Chingola “manhood thief”

A 61-YEAR-OLD man of Chingola who has been accused of possessing mysterious shoulder-tapping powers capable of making men’s baby making machines disappear has been released from cells.

Police inspected the alleged victims to ascertain their claims of missing cargo and to the shock and relief of investigators, it was found that the biological “Strait of Hormuz” of all the claimants were safe and intact.

Yesterday around 16:40 hours, officers at Chingola Central Police Station received an unusual report from a 45-year-old resident of the mining town who claimed to have lost his ‘instrument of power’.

With the assistance of curious members of the public who were equally alarmed by the rumoured magical shoulder powers, the man apprehended the elderly suspect and delivered him to the police station.

The man narrated to police that shortly after the suspect tapped him on the shoulder, he felt a strange sensation which convinced him that his ‘equipment’ had suddenly vanished from their usual workstation.

The rumour, quickly spread through the streets of Chingola and soon four more men stepped forward claiming they had also experienced the same suspicious shoulder tap followed by the shocking belief that their manhood had mysteriously gone missing.

Since the rumour, several men in Chingola have been spotted walking with their hands tightly placed on their vitals so as to safeguard them from disappearance should they meet the same man.

However, police interviewed the suspect who strongly denied the allegations and insisted he possessed no powers capable of making men’s private parts disappear.

Officers then conducted a thorough search on the man but found no suspicious charms, gadgets or disappearing tools that could support the claims.

According to Police spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi, to finally settle the matter, police, with the consent of the five complainants and while respecting their privacy, carried out voluntary checks which confirmed that none of the men had actually lost their private parts.

With no evidence to support the accusations, police released the suspect after concluding investigations into the unusual case.

“The Zambia Police Service urges the public to continue reporting similar incidents through established legal channels,” Chilabi stated.
