A ZINGALUME tobacco trader’s loose tongue has dipped into his capital after he used the organ in his mouth to claim that his neighbour’s existence was a mistake that should be praised on the condom that burst while her parents were performing adult games in the bedroom.
According to facts presented before the Matero Local Court, 33 year old Pilgrim Konkola, took a short journey to his neighbour’s place like his first name, but it wasn’t for religious purpose, it was to demand for debt from the plaintiff, Dorothy Mulenga’s brother.
However, instead of claiming his money back he attracted another bill which he has to pay back because he couldn’t take his mouth.
It was revealed that Mulenga’s brother obtained cigarettes on credit from Konkola but failed to settle the debt.
This led Konkola to go to Mulenga’s home, demanding that her brother settle the debt, especially since he wanted the funds to restock cigarettes.
Mulenga, 38, said upon arrival, Konkola started shouting and hurling insults from the gate, showing no restraint and behaving like a Nkana football club supporter after a bad call from the referee in
“He insulted both my brother and I in every way possible, but what pained me the most was when he said we were a mistake, claiming my father’s condom burst because it couldn’t handle my mother’s passion,” Mulenga stated.
“This statement was extremely hurtful because it attacked my dignity and my family.”
Konkola accepted responsibility for his actions, saying he lost his cool and resorted to insults because Mulenga was being disrespectful.
“I just couldn’t start insulting out of the blue. I went to her house intending to sort things out calmly, but Mulenga started being disrespectful, and my emotions got the better of me, so I started firing back,” Konkola said.
“She and her brother almost punched me and kicked me off. I had to run for my life. I keep wondering why one must be beaten because of their money.”
Magistrate Mulenga cautioned Konkola on the importance of coexisting respectfully with others, warning him never to insult women.
“You can’t be comfortable insulting a woman especially someone older than you. Give women respect because remember that your mother is also a woman. The Claim has been upheld, and you are required to compensate Mulenga with K500 to be paid this month end,” she ruled.
