Girlfriend refuses to reconcile with ex boyfriend, says katundu doesn’t work

A 45-year-old Lusaka girlfriend has adamantly refused to reconcile with her boyfriend, just like some political party refuses election results following a heavy defeat, stating that his ‘baby making machine’ is broken and beyond repair.

After four months of living together, Phaidess Nyoni, a businesswoman from Lusaka’s George compound declared that she could no longer tolerate Allan Nyoni’s ineffective manhood, which always left her tunnel of pleasure deeply unsatisfied.

This is in a case brought before the Matero Local Court where Phaidess’ partner, 57 year old Allan, desperately sought marriage reconciliation thinking he was married to the girlfriend just because they spent close to five months together.

However, the case was dismissed as the couple had actually never tied a knot and no dowry was either paid.

In his testimony, Allan described his cohabitating relationship with Phaidess, sharing that both were cohabiting at Phaidess’ mother’s house where he would stay during his off hours from his nightshift as a security guard.

It was heard that Phaidess performed wifey duties even before marriage, as she would cook, bathe Allan and let him rest before he went back to work.

Allan’s testimony took a shocking turn when he revealed that, during their four month cohabitation, he had contracted HIV from Phaidess.

“I can’t leave her now because she infected me with HIV. Before I met her, I was HIV-negative, but now I am HIV-positive. She is the only woman I’ve been intimate with since we started living together, so she must have infected me,” he stated.

Allan further divulged that his status as an HIV-positive man had not only strained his relationship with Phaidess but also subjected him to ridicule and discrimination within their neighborhood.

“She forced me to start staying with her at her mother’s place but she stopped treating me well. As soon as I told her that I was HIV-positive, she turned on me, blamed me for it, saying that it was all my fault. It was like I was a leper all of a sudden,” he stated.

In her defense, Phaidess questioned how Allan would claim she is the one that has infected her when initially, they only got intimate three times and his banana was ineffective, which meant that it couldn’t perform its duty.

“He is simply looking for someone to hold responsible for his condition, and I will not be that scapegoat. I don’t want this man at all,” she asserted.

During cross examination, it was revealed that both would get intimate in the afternoon and Phaidess would visit Soweto market to procure medications for Allan to improve his erectile dysfunction.

Presiding over the matter, senior magistrate Lewis Mumba swiftly dismissed the case, pointing out that the pair’s cohabitation did not constitute a legal marriage, thus prohibiting any reconciliation proceedings.

“Reconciliation has failed because dowry was not paid and the defendant has refused to reconcile with you. You are alleging that she infected you with HIV, but we do not have any proof of that. It is crucial that, in future relationships, you undergo testing prior to engaging in intimacy, rather than making accusations without solid evidence,” magistrate Mumba cautioned.
