The deceased was positively identified by his 25-year-old girlfriend, a fellow CBU student whose name has been withheld by police.
According to Copperbelt police commanding officer Pathius Siandenge, Kapuku was last seen four days ago. His vehicle, a Toyota Mark X with registration number BCG 7441, is also missing, along with his Infinix cellphone.
Siandenge confirmed that police are working to “bring the culprits to book” following the gruesome discovery of Kapuku’s body parts.

His head and legs were found near Hillcrest Clinic, while his torso was located in Zamtan, Kitwe.
Police noted that the crime scene showed signs of fresh cuts and visible burns on the victim’s chest, suggesting the murder took place elsewhere before the body was disposed of.
