    ZCAS graduates 25 ex-prisoners

WHILE it is an all familiar story for some people who leave jail to go back on their criminal ways after serving their sentences, it is quite a different tale for 25 former inmates who beamed with joyous confidence as they graduated from Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) yesterday.

The fomer residents of Chimbokaila and other Correctional facilities around the country graduated are the first from the short training cooperative entrepreneurship program.
With an intention of positively impacting the mind, Zambia ex-prisoners Cooperatives opened the Technopreneurship Hub Innovation (THI) five months ago and enrolled 25 ex-offenders at ZCAS University.
However, the Innovation was deliberately aimed at training entrepreneurs on how to identify and exploit business opportunities using technology.
Gracing the graduation, Vice Chancellor of the Zambia Centre of Accountancy Studies University Douglas Kunda has challenged the graduates into being productive citizens using the acquired knowledge.
“The training was aimed at ensuring that ex- offenders do not go back in society without a skill to pounce them back to life and withdraw from temptations of crime, and we are primed to training more” stated kunda.
Kunda solid of the knowledge impacted on the 25, assured the country that the graduates will surely improve their lives and be productive in society using their just entrepreneurial skills.
