SIX-year-old Zambian sensation Michelle Simukama has claimed the African Junior Golf Championship Under-7 title.

The tiny titan, who has only been wielding a club for a single year, outplayed seasoned competitors from across the continent to secure the coveted trophy.

Michelle’s victory at the South African tournament has earned her a golden ticket to six major golf championships worldwide, including the prestigious Asia Junior Masters in Thailand and the Junior World Championships in the United States.

It’s a feat that has left the country prou.

As Michelle basks in the glow of her triumph, her mother, Ruth Simukama, is beaming with pride.

Seeing her daughter’s hard work pay off like this was incredibly rewarding to her as she urged other parents to support their children’s passions.

Coach Dingaan Chirwa believes Michelle’s achievement is a monumental milestone for Zambian golf as she is already in a path of inspiring countless young golfers to dream big.

The Lusaka Golf Club is also celebrating Michelle’s victory. Tournament Director Richard Phiri expressed immense pride in the young champion stating that she is a shining example that success can be attained through dedication.
