ZAMBIA has two games left in order seal their ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) in Ivory Coast next year, after they made Crocodile mince out of Lesotho.

In a second back-to-back AfCON qualifier clash against the Crocodiles of Lesotho yesterday, the Chipolopolo Boys were revitalised and hungry enough to turn the nation’s three consecutive AfCON appearance drought into a fertile ground of victory as they beat their opponent 0 – 2 at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Avram Grant-coached side begun to unleash their bullets and in the 13th minutes, Zambia broke the deadlock through a Patson Daka goal.

Daka went on to complete his brace for the day, courtesy of assists from Scotland-based striker Fashion Sakala.

With yesterday’s brace, Daka increased his goal tally for the national team to 11.

Thus far, the Copper Bullets are at the summit of Group H, Ivory Coast, who faces Comoros tomorrow to either reclaim their position or stay behind.

Zambia’s Copper Bullets now awaits to fight with the Elephants of Ivory Coast in June this and later on Comoros in September this year.
