Zambia maintains 100 percent win rate at COSAFA

THE Zambian Women’s Team has marched on to the final after a thrilling 2:1 win against Tanzania today.
 
The Copper Queens stormed into the final with 100 percent winning record while conceding for the first time in the competition with an own goal from Lushomo Mweemba in the 28 minutes into the game.
 
As the ‘Own Goal’ gave Tanzania a bit of hope after Captain Barbara Banda’s goal recorded in 12 minutes into the game Misozi Zulu Like her name caused tears to the Tanzanian side.
 
This was after she scored the winner in 46 minutes to serve a cold sweet revenge to Tanzania following their previous encounter where Zambia lost.
 
The Copper Queens now sits and waits to see who will join them in the finals as the Victor between South Africa and Namibia will meet the finalists on Sunday September 11 at 15:30 hours.
 
Meanwhile Banda has continued in her prolific form as she has netted in all the games of the competition recording 9 goals in 4 matches.
