The Copperbelt University (CBU) is exploring a possible partnership with FAZ over access control for matches through their ICT Business Innovation Centre.

CBU has through its Information Communication Technology Business Innovation Centre entered notable partnerships that has also seen them enter the football market.

Director CBU IBTC Pastor Hampande led a delegation from the higher learning institution that made a presentation to FAZ.
The areas of interest for CBU revolve around e-ticketing to ease access control at matches.

CBU proposes an electronic access mode that will see tickets purchased online validated at the point of entry through the scanning of the QR code.
Fans will have the option of having their electronically purchased tickets scanned from their mobile devices at the gate.

An additional electronic security check will be mounted for motor vehicles.

The proposed electronic system will be piloted at local matches before being incorporated.
CBU is also proposing to explore opportunities around the online registration of players. Other possible partnerships are around match statistics.

And FAZ deputy general Joseph Chimpampwe welcomed the initiative by CBU to partner with FAZ.
Chimpampwe said the proposal by CBU was aligned with the FAZ 10-year strategic plan.
