THE UPND says it does not regard Socialist Party president Fred M’membe as a threat because he can only be supported by those who were born in the 2000’s and 1990’s.

According to the ruling party’s consultant Mark Simuuwe, Millennials and Gen-Z’s can easily be manipulated by Dr M’membe for they do not know how he used to behave a long time ago.

Simuuwe stated that the UPND is also not threatened by the veteran journalist as he has no representation in parliament.

“Our colleague doesn’t even know what parliament feels like. Those who were born in 2000s are the ones who can be manipulated by M’membe. He’s not even in my vocabulary because he brings nothing to the table. Fred M’membe was writing about President HH that he has never been a councilor, how can he be president, has M’membe ever been a councilor himself?”

“Secondly he has no representation in parliament. We don’t have such a history in the first place that’s why he’s not even coming in my vocabulary. Even Sara started [from being] mp then he started growing but Fred doesn’t even know how parliament looks with his people. Even PF MPs, none of them are loyal to him, they don’t consider him a politician unless those who were born in the 1990s or late 80’s and after 2000,” said Simuuwe.

He also noted that for now, the only opposition leader worth responding to or talking about is former President Edgar Lungu who has been making noise for some time now.

He added that Lungu is shocked by the magic used to balance the country’s economy by the ruling party.
