It is reported that the suspects was also defiling the juvenile in the presence of his young biological daughter.

According to police findings, the man in question raised the survivor since she was three at the time he married the girl’s mother.

The suspect also brought to the union his own daughter aged one.

After 10 years in marriage, the father of the house is said to have switched his preference from the wife to his step daughter and started having carnal knowledge of her.

Every time the molested girl made an attempt to disclose to her mother, the suspect is reported to have threatened her, telling the juvenile that he would stop supporting her education.

One day in November last year, the burden of the torture was too heavy for the young girl and she later confided in a chairlady at her church’ Women’s Fellowship.

The chairlady later told the girl’s mother who later confronted her husband.

After initially denying doing anything to his step daughter, he admitted to the acts, and she decided to separate with him and relocated to Chawama Compound.

However, since then the mother did not report the issue to the police until on Friday when a concerned member of the public got wind of it and tipped the police about the matter.

Upon receiving the information, police immediately located the mother to the survivor and she confirmed that she discovered last November that her daughter was sexually abused by her husband since 2022.

She also revealed that he was doing his ‘sick’ act in their sitting room, in the full view of his own biological daughter, who is now aged 13.

Southern Province police deputy commanding officer, Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident stating that police issued the survivor with a medical report form and has been referred to the hospital for medical examinations.

“Police further went on to arrest the suspect who is currently in police custody waiting court appearance,” said Namalongo.
