THE day that Ching’embu Kanyiso swore would be his last to try out the Coca Cola’s Wina naka Pendelo Ka Coke promotion turned into a life changing opportunity both for him and the people he usually helps.
Kanyiso who runs an organisation that focuses on helping orphans, youths and other vulnerable individuals in society has committed to investing a whopping K25,000 into his organisation so that he can help more people.
The sum of money he won is courtesy of Coca Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ) who are running a promotion to appreciate their customers and clients.
The winner told Kalemba that his organisation is self funded and the team were in a limbo to look for more funds.
He said the K25,000 is a miracle that has saved the lives of those he intends to help.
“Last week when I tried was the time when I just wanted to give up. When I received the call yesterday, I was overjoyed. I own an organisation, the organisation is self funded so we run projects to address youth issues and orphans.”
“When this money came, it was just an answered call because there’s a project that needs to be funded this month and we will use this money to help our friends,” said Kanyiso.
Coca Cola Beverages Zambia’s promotion, which runs until November 30, 2024, has been giving away weekly prizes to thousands of Zambians, with a total of K2.5 million initially up for grabs.
This week alone, the drink company has awarded 20 people with different prizes.
All hope is not lost for those who would like to participate before the 30th of this month comes knocking.
For participants to stand a chance of filling their pockets, they just need to buy a 300ml glass bottle of Coca-Cola, Fanta, or Sprite with a yellow bottle cap and entering the unique code found on the crown and follow the prompts after dialing 38424#.
