A CATHOLIC Franciscan priest who was involved in a road traffic accident last week has departed, four days after the accident occurred.
Fr Peter Milanzi who was the Parish Priest of Kalulushi’s St Joseph Mission Kalumbwa got involved in an accident in Kapiri Mposhi district of Central Province.
Initially, the priest was admitted to Kapiri Mposhi District hospital and later evacuated for medical attention to Kabwe and Lusaka respectively.
The 44 year old succumbed to injuries yesterday at 17:45 hours after four days of fighting for his life.
According to the funeral programme, the requiem mass and burial for the late will take place this Thursday at St Theresa’s Ibenga Mission in Luanshya.
Fr Milanzi had his first temporary profession in 2009 and made his solemn profession in 2014. He was later ordinated as a priest on July 22, 2017.
