FOLLOWING the Zambia Police Service passout parade of the 2023/2024 Zambia police training college that took place last week Thursday, the country’s social media was set ablaze with pictures of one of the recruits who looked like an underage.
The public’s concern was drawn from the recruits height.
However, this morning, police, through assistant public relations officer, Godfrey Chilabi refuted the allegation stating that they are unfounded.
He added that the specific recruitee is of age and fully meets the recruitment requirements.

Chilabi said the newly graduated female officer, Constable Mumbi Pascalina, also meets the age criterion, which stipulates that applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Chilabi said before her recruitment, all necessary personal records and documentation were thoroughly verified to ensure compliance with the Service’s recruitment standards and protocols.
“The Zambia Police Service reiterates that these allegations are baseless and are intended to tarnish the reputation of the institution,” said Chilabi.
He further encouraged the public to rely on credible information and avoid spreading unverified claims.
