A 23 year old woman of Kalomo’s Southern province has won a whooping K25,000 in Coca Cola’s ‘Wina Nakapendelo kaCoke’ promotion which she has used to stitch her way to success by enrolling in a tailoring and design school.

Ruth Chalwe who completed secondary school in 2019 and acquired a nursing qualification, has always dreamt of pursuing a career in fashion.

However, financial constraints kept her dream on hold until now.

“I am extremely grateful to Coca Cola Zambia for this opportunity. Winning the K25,000 has allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a professional tailor,” said Ruth.

Starting in January 2025, the 23 year old will embark on her journey as a student of fashion, hoping to open her own tailoring shop upon graduation.

She said she is also determined to create jobs in her community by employing her fellow young people.

Coca Cola Beverages Zambia’s promotion, which runs until November 30, 2024, has been giving away weekly prizes to thousands of Zambians, with a total of K2.5 million up for grabs.

Participants can win by purchasing a 300ml glass bottle of Coca-Cola, Fanta, or Sprite with a yellow bottle cap and entering the unique code found under the cap.
