BARELY hours after celebrating Teachers day, a head master of Mwaba Primary School in Chinsali district of Muchinga province committed suicide by taking poison.
Teddy Musukwa, 47 was reportedly well hours before he decided to end his life, and if anything, he was a happy person and showed no signs of someone who intended to end his life.
Surprisingly, his family was only awaken to his half dead body at midnight on Friday after he was heard shouting for his life around 02:30 hours at his residence in Farmer Teaching Centre (FTC) Compound.
But this was because he had taken a poisonous substance to end his life.
He was immediately rushed to Chinsali District Hospital, but unfortunately, he died before he could be attended to.
The matter was then reported to police as suicide and was confirmed by Muchinga Province Police Commanding officer, Dennis Moola.
Moola said the reasons behind Musukwa’ s death have not yet been established.
“The body is currently laying in Chinsali District Hospital mortuary awaiting possible burial,” said Moola.
