AS the sun of October 1 welcomed the nation to the new month, a juvenile of Sinazongwe district in Southern Province was also allegedly welcoming the devils enticement leading him to commit a crime in broad day light.
A 12 year-old boy of Mwananjoke village took advantage of a one year-eight-months old baby that was left alone for some minutes.
The young boy reported to have defiled the baby and also used his fingers in the act, leaving the child’s private part injured.
The child’s mother aged 21 only noticed after the damage was done and immediately reported the matter to Sinazongwe Police station.
The defilement was then confirmed by Southern Province Police commanding officer, Auxensio Daka who said the survivor was issued with a medical report form.
He said police have not arrested the suspect yet.
“The victim sustained painful private parts and general body pains. Male organ and fingers are alleged to have been used to inflict the injuries,” said Daka.
