IT’S just been a week since Jemax (James Kavimba) released his debut album, the Boogeyman which has hit 9 million streams within this week.
Suffice to say before the day ends it will be 10 million which is the prediction the rapper gave before the album release.
In an interview with Diamond TV, Jemax stated that it was his strategy to first make a name in the industry before releasing any album.
He stated that no one can listen to an album of an unknown person.
Did his strategy work? Well, you can answer that measuring his work this far.
He assured his fans that what follows next after the overwhelming support of his debut album is a lot more albums.
“That’s why I kept on featuring on songs and also dropping singles because no one can stream your music if they don’t know you. But apa it’s album after album,” said Jemax.
Jemax collaborated with two upcoming artistes noting that it was a way of giving back to the community, especially because many people helped him when he was starting his music career.
“When I started music a lot of people helped me a lot, even now.. I want to help other talents. That’s why I decided to collaborate with two upcoming artistes,” he shared.
He promised to drop videos starting next week urging his fans to get ready for some of the videos.
Meanwhile, Jemax’s fans have received the album with overwhelming support to a point of some suggesting that Jemax’s music should be played in hospitals to cure people.
Some fans wrote: “JEMAX Bogeyman Album ifwile ilelila namuma BANKS coz impiya shilya tulashichulila (Jemax’s Boogeyman should be played in banks because we work for that money.”
“Your album is amazing bro!!I’ve never seen an album having 5million views in just three days here in Zambia.A number of Zambian people are very much surprised to see this.We give you respect lyrical baba.”
Jemax has since appreciated his fans for the love and support he is currently receiving.
