CHIPOLOPOLO boys take on the warriors of Zimbabwe this afternoon at 14:00 hours at Bingu National Stadium as they battle it out in the opening match of the FIFA Window at the Four Nations Tournament hosted by Malawi.
However, Zambia’s team doctor Wesley Ngongo confirmed that Frankie Musonda had been ruled out of this afternoon’s match due to injury and defender Stoppila Sunzu is likely not to take part either.
Lameck Banda will also not make it as he is nursing an injury while Lubambo Musonda is not able to join due to an illness.
Meanwhile, coach Avram Grant stated that this afternoon’s clash is a good opportunity for the team to win despite Zimbabwe being a good team.
Grant said every game has pressure but pressure is only part of the game.
“Zimbabwe is a good team it will be a good battle but Zambia is equally a good team,” assured the coach.
And Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka is excited as this is an important competition for the team and the country at large.
Daka disclosed that the match will not be taken as a friendly but something serious.
