Zambia army loses dedicated nurse and soldier

THE Zambia Army is in mourning following the passing of a dedicated soldier, captain Sharon Chiluba on Saturday, at Maina Soko Medical Centre in Lusaka.

In a statement released by the Zambia Army, Commander Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi extended condolences to the bereaved family, noting that Captain Chiluba joined the army in January 2019 and served with distinction at the 1 Medical Unit.

Throughout her career, Captain Chiluba held crucial positions such as Nurse in-Charge of Psychosocial Counselling, Couple Counselling, and Registered Critical Care Nurse.

Details surrounding her cause of death were not disclosed in the official statement.

Born in Kabwe, Central Province, in 1985, Captain Chiluba leaves behind two children.

The Zambia Army expressed their deepest sympathies and highlighted her dedicated service to the nation.
