Farmer harvests 3 decomposed bodies on farm

A 47 year old famer was taken aback in disbelief after he stumbled upon a dead body, leading to the discovery of two lifeless bodies on a farm in Chipokolo village, Kasisi.

Isaiah Lweela, 47, discovered the body while checking on his maize field around 15:00 hours yesterday.

He then alerted villagers, who found two more bodies nearby totalling to three bodies, two females aged between 22 and 25 and one of a male person aged between 30 and 35.

“500 meters from the first body was another body of a female person with a deep cut on the right side of the neck. The third body of a female was discovered 80 meters from the second body with a deep cut on the head.”

“However, an axe suspected to have been used was recovered,” Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed.

Hamoonga said the male body found in the field had a deep cut on the head, clothed in a blue jean trousers, and white sneakers were recovered about 30 meters away from the body.

According to police reports Lweela discovered the first body after noticing a flies and bad odor at a particular place in the maize field.

Hamoonga revealed that the authorities have instituted investigation into the discovery of three unidentified bodies in a decomposed state near Kasisi Mine in Mponda Chiefdom.
