THREE children from Ngombe Village in Senga Hill District lost their lives after being struck by lightning.

According to ZANIS, the unfortunate event took place on Tuesday around 15:00 hours at their aunty’s house, where the trio, aged between 6 and 10, were playing with five other children.
District Commissioner Jestus Sikazwe expressed sorrow as he confirmed the devastating news.
The victims, identified as Joseph Sichula 8, Nevers Siuluta 6, and Trust Siuluta 10, were pronounced dead upon arrival at Nsokolo rural health center in Senga Hill.
Matildah Nanjela, who is the aunty to two of the deceased, recounted the harrowing incident.
She said Lightning struck while the children were engaged in playful activities, resulting in the tragic loss of three lives.
Five surviving children were promptly rushed to the health facility, where they were examined and later discharged.
