WHILE dancing endlessly and telling jokes is all that many broke men seeking free alcohol have to do to please their buyers in bars, the experience was quite different and painful for a 29-year old Nakonde-based drunkard who was raped by an international buyer after a night of binge drinking.

What started off as fun-filled drink up of free alcohol for Shadrick Chisha after he met Tanzanian big buyer at a popular hangout spot the boarder town of Nakonde on Sunday evening ended in a traumatic rape ordeal.
It is reported that on the fateful evening, Chisha left home to go and drink beer at a named bottle store at Tola-Tola market.
And whilst there, he met up with an unknown Tanzanian man who offered to buy him a bottle of energy drink to mix with the whiskey beer he was drinking.
After one too many, the buyer called it a night around 22:00 hours and decided to retire but not before requesting for Chisaha to escort him to Tunduma.
Hoping to impress the buyer for future drink ups, Chisha unaware of his drinking partner’s ulterior motives readily accepted the request and the two exited the bar and walked in the direction of Tanzania.
As soon as the duo were in a secluded area around Chiyanga’s Black Market just after crossing the rail line, the buyer grabbed Chisha and engaged him in violent of foreplay of punches, kicks and slaps.
Too drunk too defend himself, Chisha received all the beating like a punching bag.
The beating then turned to kissing before the poor drunk Chisha was disrobbed for his behind to be vandalised mercilessly until he fainted.
“He tried defending himself but he was overpowered because he was too drunk,” Muchinga Province deputy police commissioner Ronald Zambo stated.
After regaining conscious around 02:00 hours, Chisha with painful bottom staggered to the Police Station where he narrated to officers about his Queen B night of horror.
“Acting on this report, officers issued a medical report form to Chisha to facilitate for medical examinations. The docket is opened and investigations have been instituted into the matter,” said Zambo.
