A CHIBOMBO family of an 11 year old boy has been left with a traumatising last image of their beloved one, after they found him hanging lifeless from a necktie tied to a tree.
It is reported that the deceased, Benjamin Musonda of Katyekele Village, committed suicide in the bush after he was sent to take turns with his sibling in herding the family cattle on Thursday.
Banjamin who is also a grade three pupil at Shiyala Primary School was supposed to takeover the herding of the cattle from his sibling who needed to return home for lunch last Thursday.
However, he did not arrive at his destination.
Benjamin’s father, Richard Musonda and Keembe Ward Councillor Gift Mwenda confirmed the death to ZANIS.
Musonda said upon noticing that the sun was going while Benjamin did not reach his sibling, the family the went in search of him.
Benjamin was later discovered hanging from a tree with a neck tie around his neck at 16:00 hours on Thursday.
