AS per the announcement of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyib Edorgan in December 2022, Turkish Airlines has re-launched its Lusaka route after it stopped servicing it in March 2020, due to the ravaging COVID-19 situation.
Â
A Turkish Airlines plane touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka around 01:50 hours yesterday.
Â
The airline will have two flights per week and such flights will go via Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Â
Information obtained by Kalemba indicate that Turkish Airlines flights will be leaving Lusaka at 02:50 hours and arrive in Istanbul at 14:40, after a 10 hour and 50 minutes flight.
Â
On the other hand, flights will be flying out of Istanbul at 15:50 hours and arrive in Lusaka at 01:50 hours, the following day.
Â
Turkish Airlines launched its flights into Lusaka in 2018, before heightened cases of COVID-19 grounded the route.
Â
Turkish Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey that flies to more than 120 countries in Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
