A Zambian pharmaceutical engineering student at Weifang University, China, has flown the country’s flag higher by winning the Best Performing International Student award.

Paul Ngangula, whom the Zambia Daily Mail covered in 2018 story after he invented a cholera detection and treatment machine back home, was honored yesterday during the Annual Award Ceremony of the Second Cross-Lingual Chanting Assembly of Confucian Classics – China.

The awards are aimed at promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.

“Just been awarded as the Best Performing International Student during the Annual Award Ceremony of the Second Cross-Lingual Chanting Assembly of Confucian Classics – China.

“From a small town boy in Maramba, Livingstone to this words are not enough!, ” Paul wrote in his reaction to the award.
