PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says China is an inspiration, insofar where Zambia’s economy ought to be.
The President was speaking during the award-giving event of the 50 youth recipients of the Hakainde Hichilema Innovative Fund at State House yesterday.
President Hichilema applauded China for its great resource management that has consequently resulted into its great economic status.
“China has used its own innovations towards building its economy. If Zambia could equally duplicate its style of resource management in order to foster development, we can have a great economic amelioration,” President Hichilema said.
China is currently ranked as one of the top four best countries in technology In the world.
“When I visited China, I thought to myself, Zambia Is really behind,” Said Hichilema.
