POLICE say they have interviewed Judge Wilfred Muma who was discharged from hospital yesterday evening.

In a bid to join his ancestors, the learned man of the law plunged himself into the Zambezi River on Wednesday night but was quickly retrieved by local fishermen men before he could drown or devoured by crocodiles.

Zambia Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale told Kalemba through a statement that judge Muma presented himself to the police today at 15:30 hours where he was interviewed and later allowed to go.

Mwale said the motor vehicle that was found yesterday during the attempted suicide ordeal has been has been handed over to the corruption linked judge.

Last week, judge Muma appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates Court where he pleaded not guilty to canceling a land title belonging to the Zambia Army and allegedly offering it to the former governing Patriotic Front party for construction of their offices.
