Shortlisted applicants are currently undergoing security checks, details verification – defence minister

Government has concluded the short listing of successful candidates for recruitment in the Defence Force.
 
Defence Minister Ambrose Lufumma disclosed this in a statement on his social media on Thursday.
Lufuma said names for shortlisted candidates will be published in the print media on February 24, 2023.
 
“Currently, the shortlisted applicants are undergoing security and verification of details.”
 
“Frantic efforts are being made to release the names of shortlisted applicants on schedule,’ Lufuma said.
 
He implored applicants to remain calm as the Government concludes the recruitment process.
 
Over 200, 000 individuals applied to join the Zambia Army , Zambia Air Force (ZAF) and Zambia National Service (ZNS) against the available five thousand slots.
