SOUTHERN Province’s capital, Choma, is scheduled to have its first-ever Hungry Lion outlet, in the next two months.
Instead of depending on roasted chimbwali (sweet potatoes), chibwantu, musozya (samp) and mabisi as their delicacies, the people of Choma town will now have to sharpen their teeth, in anticipation to crush the poor and soft bones of those Hungry Lion chickens.
Byta FM radio reports that Hungry Lion Zambia country manager Busu Mpepo broke the good news, that has sent Choma Tongas, and others resident there, agog.
Apart from Spar, Steers, Debonairs and Star Snacks, Choma has no major chainstore, especially where one can buy appetising, oily food.
With the highly-fancied Hungry Lion on the verge of opening in the agricultural hub of Choma, people, especially the middle aged, have probably started saving so that on the big day, they stand erect on the chilli or no chilli queue.
