ALL is set for the training of 5, 000 new entrants in the Zambia Army, Air Force and National Service whose recruitment drive began last year.

Minister of Defence Ambrose Lufuma says the defence force is prepared to receive and train the successful candidates from the more than 200, 000 applicants.

Lufuma has also disclosed that the recruitment process has well advanced, with only a few things left to conclude the process.

Lufuma told Kalemba in an interview that there is just a “one or two items needed for us to publish the names.”

“We are working on it. I gave a time when the names should be out and if it will not be out by that time, I will give another statement. So just be patient,” said Lufuma.

Last yea, the government embarked on a military recruitment exercise which saw over 200, 000 candidates applying for the 5, 000 military personnel jobs advertised through the media.

Lufuma revealed that the Zambia Army would take up a bigger number of officers followed by the Zambia National Servic (ZNS), while the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) will have the smallest number.

The recruitment exercise started in October last year, taking about four month to shuffle and select suitable candidates from an overwhelming number of applicants.

Netizens took to social media and created memes that they will have conceived or gotten married by the time the announcement will be made as some of the qualification for non profession officers being recruited is being single and having no child.

Whenever I look at your website in Safari, it looks fine however, when opening in I.E., it has some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Aside from that, wonderful site!
