We don’t know when load-shedding will end, Zesco has said.
Â
The company announced that Zambia will today start experiencing long hours of no electricity supply due to low levels of water in the Kariba.
Â
Zesco has blamed the load-shedding on low rainfall.
Â
In an interview with Kalemba, Zesco spokesperson Henry Kapata said the company was in the dark about how long they will load-shed the country.
Â
“Zesco is equally in the dark and doesn’t know when load-shedding will be done. Zesco depends on the amount of rainfall the country will experience from January to March,” Kapata said.
Â
He warned that without enough rains, the load-shedding could last up to six months.
