ESCORTED to the PF headquarters in Lusaka by his gorgeous wife and potential first lady,
youthful-looking former fisheries and livestock minister Greyford Monde has launched his presidential bid telling Zambians that; “I am your guy”.

The PF is scheduled to hold its elective general conference next March following its removal from power last year.
Â
In the company of his wife Nancy, the former Itezhi-tezhi lawmaker presented his application letter to acting PF secretary general and Kawambwa Central member of parliament Nickson Chilangwa at the former ruling party’s secretariat this afternoon.

From 2011 to 2016, Monde was Itezhi tezhi UPND member of parliament.
In February 2013, president Michael Sata appointed him as the deputy minister in the then Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

In October 2015, president Edgar Lungu elevated Monde to be the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, until August 2016.
Â
Today, Monde said he was a “guy” that Zambians could interact with, advise, criticise and access freely.
Â
“While others have called themselves Bally, simply call me your guy. I’m your guy that you can interact with, criticise freely and easily access,” said Monde.

“Let’s make this party strong by recreating party structures countrywide so that we can make Zambia better again.”

Male presidential hopefuls are partying away with a loud K200, 000 while the fee for female presidential contestants.
Â
So far, former defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM), members of parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya (Lunte), Brian Mundubile (Mporokoso) and Miles Sampa (Matero) have lodged in their application letters.
