SODOMY accused journalist Sylvester Kaumba says he is not on the run from the law.
Kaumba, who has been previously worked for Lusaka’s Komboni Radio as well as PF-aligned Facebook-based Smart Eagles, was yesterday reported to police by a family of Kamwala South, accusing him of sodomising their relative who had down syndrome.
In a statement yesterday, Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said police had investigations in the matter while the suspect was on the run.
But Kaumba told #Kalemba in a phone conversation that it was not true that he was on the run.
“I am not on the run; I know there is that issue that is all over social media but I have deliberately kept quiet. I am in touch with the police but for now, I don’t want to say on whether I am guilty or not. I am in high spirit and I will soon appear before the police, even you, you are able to call me,” said Kaumba.
