ZANACO Board chairperson Charity Lumpa has announced her intentions to contest the Lusaka Central Constituency as a PF a candidate.
According to Daily Star Zambia, the former Eco Bank and Airtel chief executive officer made her intentions known at United Church of Zambia (UCZ) St. Thomas Congregation in Bauleni Township at the weekend.
In 2016, Margaret Dudu Mwanakatwe became the first candidate sponsored by a ruling party to scoop the Lusaka Central parliamentary seat since the reintroduction of multi-party politics in 1991.
Since the reintroduction of plural politics, the Lusaka Central seat had only been won by opposition candidates.
