AS the fight against the COVID-19 fight intensifies, the need for more preventive measures is ever growing.
In this vein, Tourism minister Ronald Chitotela has donated hand sanitizers and washing buckets to Mushota Seventh Day Adventist Church in Luena Mission in Kawambwa where he attended prayers yesterday.
Chitotela also handed over 100 boxes of tile fixer and 100 tiles for Luena Mission donated by President Edgar Lungu.
The minister who is also Pambashe Constituency member of parliarment said President Edgar Lungu was concerned that the Christian family had not held prayers for some time.
He said President Lungu loved the church and wanted the best for them.
Chitotela urged the church to follow all the health guidelines given by the government if they were to continue congregating advising that that sessions must be divided in small groups to cater for all members.
“Today I encouraged and informed the church that President Edgar Lungu loves the church and that he is concerned that the Christian family had not held prayers for some time,” Chitotela said.
“I took it upon myself as leader and Christian to have fellowship at Mushota SDA Church in Kawambwa so that I could encourage and emphasise on the importance of social distancing, masking up, sanitizing as well as washing our hands with soap time and again,” added Chitotela.
