Last evening Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo led officers in whipping patrons who had had secretly gathered in bars around Olympia and Emmasdale.

And now, police has announced the arrest of

13 Kachasu drinkers and brewers.

“The operation was conducted in Kalikiliki, and Kalale area within Mtendere East. During the operation 13 people were nabbed out of which four are brewers while nine are patrons,” Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo told #Kalemba in a statement.

In the operation, officers confiscated 25 drums of Kachasu and poured it on the ground while the consumers watched with unmasked emotional pain and anguish.

“All the arrested are detained in Police custody,” stated Katongo.
