TRANSPORT and Communications Minister Mutotwe Kafwaya has advised the public to use social media prudently during this period of gassing incidents of mobs.
Speaking to bus drivers at Kulima Tower Bus Station in Lusaka today, Kafwaya said the period was critical for citizens sto use the internet wisely to avoid creating chaos in the country.
He said people must be cautious of what they want to post on social media.
“We should be mindful of the things we post on social media. Let’s weigh them, will they help in building peace or they will result in creating confusion,” he guided.
Kafwaya further advised drivers to park their buses near their homes to avoid meeting unreasonable mobs during the period of gassing.
“The government of His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu is doing everything possible to ensure that all the people behind gassing are brought to book. The ministries of Home Affairs and Defense are equal to the task to ensure that the perpetrators of this negative vice are dealt with accordingly,” said Kafwaya.
