A MOB Kasama’s Chipomos Village in Northern Province has had burnt to death a man
who they suspected to be a gasser, Radio has reported.
Gassing incidents first began in the mining town of Chingola on the Copperbelt before spreading to Ndola, then Northwestern Province and now in Lusaka.
Central Province has also recorded reports of gassing while police spokesperson Esther Mwataa Katongo said unverified reports are suggest of gassing cases in Luapula and Southern Provinces.
The gassing attacks have sparked fear and suspicion amongst citizens who have now resorted to killing people they suspect to be behind the attack.
In Lusaka, nine people including a woman have been killed by mons in the last three days alone.
President Edgar Lungu has offered a K250,000 reward to any person who will provide information leading to the arrest of the gassing masterminds.
