FROM the land of the mighty Victoria Falls, a Zambian beauty queen is redefining what it means to wear multiple crowns.
Adah Mushibi, a medical doctor turned model, is representing Zambia on the global stage at the 52nd edition of the Miss Intercontinental pageant which is currently underway in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China, Mushibi has seamlessly transitioned from saving lives in hospitals to promoting Zambia’s beauty, culture and tourism on international runways.
The Miss Intercontinental pageant, which has brought together contestants from across the globe ends on December 6, 2024.
Mushibi, who happens to be the reigning Miss Intercontinental Zambia is not only competing for the crown but also using this platform to advocate for causes close to her heart.
“As a model, Doctor and a brand ambassador of the Mumba Children Charity, an initiative that supports people who are vulnerable and also people who are living with disabilities, I have come to understand the profound power of beauty which is not only about how you look but also how you impact others,” Mushibi told the Real Times Digital newspaper.
In her mission to showcase the power of beauty beyond appearances, the beauty queen plans to spotlight Zambia’s breathtaking tourism sector which includes its natural wonders such as the Victoria Falls and its harmonious relationship with nature.
“It is a testament to the beauty that thrives in balance with nature to join other continents as we embark on this journey of Miss Intercontinental 2024,” she said.
The model stands poised with confidence to compete with beauty queens from every corner of the globe to carry not only Zambia’s flag but also its hopes and dreams.
She called for support from Zambians as she competes for one of the world’s most prestigious titles.
The final coronation on December 6 will reveal whether this multi-talented doctor turned model will add the Miss Intercontinental crown to her growing list of achievements.
