A FEW weeks ago, a 30 year old female doctor lit up social media after she reintroduced herself and talked about how she had earned four degrees by the age of 30.

Little did we know, she had another interesting story to tell concerning how she had to achieve all those academic qualifications despite falling pregnant while in school.

Seven years ago, the life of a 23 year old Kunda took an unexpected turn as she found herself pregnant with twins while in medical school, a period she describes as the toughest of her life.

She had to endure the effects that comes with being a single mom and a young mom for that matter.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Kunda made a choice to rewrite her story as she did not give up on her dreams.

Seven years later, Dr Kunda is a young career woman with a huge following on social media not forgetting her flourishing motherhood.

She shared part of her inspiring story on her socials.

“Seven years ago, at the age of 23, I had my twin girls and became a single mother. I was in medical school at the time, looking at a very scary and very uncertain future.

“I had always been a star student, top of my class, so sure I was meant for greatness. Suddenly everyone was disappointed in me, but not nearly as disappointed as I was in myself. The months and years that followed were by far the toughest of my life,” she wrote.

The whole motherhood thing felt like a nightmare as she thought she had strayed far from what she thought her life was supposed to be.

In hindsight, she says, everything happened exactly as it was meant to.

“Before you decide that a mistake has completely taken you off your path to success, please remember, nothing you do will keep away what God has for you and when the calling over your life is great, not even you can stop you,” so she encourages people.

Dr Kunda Phiri is a mother to amazingly intelligent twins who are adored world over through social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Facebook and Instagram.

“This week we celebrated going viral on Instagram yet again, with our latest trending video getting now close to 3 million views in the last 2 weeks.”

“What if the setback was the set up? What if the challenge was the catalyst? What if the darkness was the only way to see the light? Wondered Dr Kunda.
