GOSPEL music sensation Chileshe Bwalya has tipped her fans to share her upcoming new project as much as they would share the drama.
In a Facebook post, Bwalya announced that there was new music loading and coming up on December six this year.
She also expressed disappointment at people who have been calling for more music from her when she had dropped an album recently.
“I’m confused people are saying that they haven’t heard new music from me in years? I dropped a whole album this year but you are busy with who’s international and who’s not so you think we have backsliden,” she stated.
Meanwhile, in a different post, the singer advocated for safe spaces in Zambian schools, churches and work places which would make pupils and people open up about different forms of abuse.
Bwalya said such institutions where people convene need passionate and trained counselors who are able to talk to individuals about different issues without judging them.
She gave an example of how she felt comfortable to open up about her own sexual abuse because of such safe spaces.
“I was blessed enough to have a woman of God as my high school teacher (God rest Mrs Chellah’s soul) she saw right through my “bad girl” persona and she availed herself to listen and counsel lovingly.”
“My mom is a certified psychosocial counselor, her parenting approach took a drastic turn after she went through training and that allowed me to feel confident and comfortable enough to open up to my parents about being sexually abused,” she shared.
The singer further called on government to look into the matter.
“We need safe spaces in these places. A lot of people just need an outlet. Boma iyanganepo! (Government should look into the matter) Kapena banga pange lamulo (maybe, pass a law).
