AN 18 year old Nyimba wife has removed herself from life’s WhatsApp group after suspecting that her husband made a romantic U-turn to devour his side chick’s hot pot of happiness in this June while pretending to go buy petrol.
Esnart Lungu of Katebe village in Chief Ndake’s area, apparently decided that instead of fighting for her man the traditional way like a certain Facebook celebrity who even found herself in court for beating her hubby’s side chick, she took herself out of life completely to punish her husband.
According to Eastern Province police commissioner Robertson Mweemba, the now late Esnart, a passionate subscriber to the “die for love” network, reportedly took herself off the face of the earth last evening after her 20 year old husband, James Banda, stepped out at around 19:00 hours to allegedly buy petrol.
But instead of believing he was indeed going to buy petrol, Esnart’s jealousy erupted like a volcano and promised him that she would leave him alone on Earth so he could enjoy other women’s open pit mines.
After the hubby left, Esnart drank a concoction which were maize preservative tablets to ‘punish’ James.
By the time the husband returned at 21:00 hours, he found his wife vomiting and confessing that she had decided to blacklist herself from the marriage due to suspicion of infidelity.
She complained that her own pot of soup was getting as dry as the Kalahari desert even when it was available for drinking but the hubby decided another woman’s garden was sweeter.
In a panic, James reportedly summoned his in law Gabriel Lungu who rushed her to Chimpanje Rural Health Post.
Unfortunately, even the village herbs and cold water couldn’t reverse the heartbreak and Esnart was declared dead on arrival.
Police conducted a physical inspection and found no injuries.
