Sampa seems to have let his Mafinga counterpart have his way with the party’s presidency.

“Take notice that the defendant herein, hereby with immediate effect withdraws the following applications in their entirety: Ex-Parte summons for an order of interim injunction dated the 8th ofAugust, 2024 stopping Chabinga from holding a convention.

Other requests were an order for leave to apply for an order to commence committal for Contempt of Court proceedings dated September 24, 2024 when Chabinga assumed the role of acting PF president.

Sampa has also U-turned on his request for an ex-parte injunction, to stop Chabinga from expelling him and for president Edgar Lungu, alebwelelapo project coordinator Raphael Nakacinda, former diplomat Emmanuel Mwamba among others

He further wishes to withdraw the ex-parte summons for leave to apply for an order to commence committal for Contempt of Court dated November 11, 2024.

In this matter PF secretary general Morgan Ng’ona has sued Sampa in the Lusaka High Court for dismissing him from the party and disbanding the party’s central committee without communication.

He is also challenging the removal of Chabinga as the leader of opposition in parliament.
